Frame Options “FF” and “PB”

August®, Laurel, Linear, and Linn® Series seating sections are offered in

two options: “FF” – fully upholstered frames and “PB” – on plinth bases.

Seating units in both options are the same overall dimensions for seat and

back height; they are made in two different frames. Connection systems

are available for both options; both sit on adjustable leveler glides.

The difference is in appearance: the “FF” fully upholstered forms are softer

looking; the base of “PB” models, faced in plastic laminate, repeats the shape

of the units and raises them approximately 3” above the floor.

Chair Sizes for Children to Adults:

Making people feel welcome to a space and comfortable during their visit

is easy with seating by August Inc. Children’s seating for ages 2-7 years old

starts at a 13 ½” seat height for Laurel Jr., Linn® Jr. and R&R® Jr. chairs.

LS Jr. chairs, at 16” seat height, fit ages 8-12 years. Built to the same high

construction standards as our full size seating series, Jr. furniture stands up to

active children’s high use areas. A wide selection of design forms and finishes

supports coordination of children’s seating with our grown-up lounge furniture,

in libraries, schools, medical offices and hospital facilities

Furniture to Fit Architecture:

When architectural spaces call for lounge furniture beyond our wide selection

of standard sizes, we can work with you to supply special sizes. From AutoCAD

floor plans to supplying full size template to check on site before production, we

offer a unique resource of skills and customer service to help bring a project

from idea to reality. Special units are built with all of the features of our standard

models, from durable construction to replaceable covers and selection of finishes.

Special units may be specified in LS, Laurel and Linn® Series and their Jr. sizes,

in chairs, sofas, benches and tables in rectangular and segment shapes.
