Mobility for Flexible Usage

Casters are available which serve different needs:

• Totally free wheeling
• Weight load casters, which are free wheeling only when not being sat upon.

Casters may be specified for Linn^®, Laurel, LS, August^® and Linear Series, made with the plinth base option. The casters are recessed under the plinth base. In addition to single chairs, multiple units can be placed on a common plinth base, with recessed casters.

Conference, presentation or training areas where people group together for discussion use the free wheeling casters. Auxiliary seating, such as benches, are useful on casters.

In the project profiles, Ivy Tech State College, their Grand Hall illustrates a multiple use space using weight load casters. During the day this large atrium space is used for reception and waiting areas for adjacent offices and classrooms. For social events or performances, the casters provide mobility to rearrange seating or set up refreshment tables.
