August seating systems use a variety of connections which reflect the design and engineering of each series. Connections are listed below by series with common construction parameters
Security Base - SB Models for LS, LAUREL, LINEAR and LINN® SERIES

The LS Series is the first to offer our patented Security Base option. The new SB connection system is engineered to join chair frame bases in a complete wood to wood connection, available on all models—chairs, sofas, benches and tables. SB connection is also available on the Laurel, Linear and Linn Series.

Allen bolts pass through a hardwood connector into insert nuts, making a very tight, secure connection.
The SB system features a high performance solid black thermoplastic covering material, designed to withstand impact in high use public spaces. Connectors overlap unit connections, creating a continuous base surface.
Plinth Base - PB models for August®, LS, LAUREL, LINEAR and LINN® Series.
Plinth Base (PB) hardwood bases faced with plastic laminate on all sides have been our standard base construction. Standard laminate color is black, special colors are available. Higher security installations may fasten 2-3 chairs, tables or benches together on a common plinth base. Sections may then be joined with plinth base connectors. Plinth Base connection is available on August®, LS, Laurel, Linear and Linn® Series.

Bolts pass through a steel connector plate into insert nuts in the chair frame.
LACARA Series

Metal connector plates join frames at front and back. Frame sides hardwood plywood; frame rails maple; seats and backs cross-webbed.

FF Connector for AUGUST, LAUREL, LINEAR, LINN® and LS Jr. Series

Heavy metal connector plates offer the option of connecting all of the rectangular and segment units. Connectors attach to units in place at the front and back with bolts into insert nuts in the frames.
