The Teen Center gives students a special place
within the Library. Teens are encouraged to move
the Laurel Series chairs, shown in the photos in
the original “S” floor plan, to flexible social spaces,
making them an important part of their interaction.

By encouraging reading, learning computers skills
for research and fun, and keeping teens involved in
learning, the Northside Branch of the Lexington Public

Library is an important part of their community.
