Children’s Spaces
Nothing says “Welcome” to children better than a special place with ‘just my size’ chairs. Kids go right to the seating — no directions needed, giving parents a chance to relax, to do their activities, or to join in with the children’s reading and fun.

Areas friendly to children and families include not only schools and libraries, but also banks, fitness, recreation centers, and a wide variety of medical facilities. Many combine full size with matching Jr size seating, making everyone more comfortable.

Top left and above: Handpainted murals of animals and Linn® Jr. chairs in Jungle Pets upholstery highlight the children’s section of Union Township Library, in Mason, Ohio. The chairs and tables encourage children to relax for awhile, looking through books to take out while parents select books for themselves. They also become the focus for Story Hour at the library.

Top right and above: Visiting the Children’s Section in Grapevine Public Library north of Dallas, Texas, is fun for parents and their kids. Laurel Jr. chairs and segments form a special children’s area just outside the Story House, inviting kids to select from the nearby books and look at them.

A few steps away are full size Laurel Series chairs where parents can read or share books with their children.
