Convention Center
Dayton, Ohio

Main Lobby Building Photo

The Dayton Convention Center is the focus of city events from major exhibits and theatrical productions to local conferences and meetings. New seating was needed throughout. Seating not only to energize and beautify spaces on all three floors of the center, but also seating which would hold up to heavy usage, stay in place, be renewable, and look good at all times was required. The Laurel Series was chosen.

The Laurel Series enhances architectural spaces in the Center. Angular walls are softened with curved forms. Social areas are defined within large open spaces. Matching sofas and tables provide coordinating forms and finishes to complete the renovation.
Mezzanine Seating The Director of the Center was interested not only in design and appearance of the seating, he also was concerned for its day to day maintenance and its long term economics. Sturdy construction, secure installation keeping the seating in place, easy maintenance and renewal for continued performance were requirements.
The Convention Center purchased extra upholstery covers to allow a quick change for cleaning or repair without taking chairs out of service. Covers are replaceable on site for all chairs, sofas and arms. Even the laminate table tops can be replaced on site
