The Coles Sports Center provides an athletic club's array of fitness and sports activities for NYU students and nearby residents. The main lobby runs between a sports court to the left and swimming pool on the right.


LS Series chair segments create sculptural islands of seating for many people in each section of the lobby, which is divided into three lounges by trophy cases.

Plan: Between the trophy cases, LS chairs are set up on a rectangular plan, which is then rearranged for various activities at the Center.

 Coordinating benches and tables complete the design of each section, in accenting colors from the fabric on the chairs.
