Renovation of Squires Hall presented a wide variety of spaces that needed seating for
students between classes and activities. Its a very active center, including four
lecture hall and theater facilities, refreshments, classrooms and offices on its three
floors.
Fifteen groupings were purchased in 1991; more seating was added in 1994.
Locations are designated on the floor plans by the colored triangles. Both the Linn Series
and the Laurel Series are used in a variety of fabric patterns, textures, and colors which
coordinate throughout the facility. Typical arrangements are shown below.
Replaceable upholstery covers have enabled
the university to keep the installations up to date. Not only has the furniture held up to
constant usage, but also its appearance has been maintained. And they count on it to look
good, in the present spaces or moved to new locations for future service.
