Replaceable Covers

August Inc. pioneered on-site replaceable covers in

the mid-1970's and holds two mechanical patents on

this process. Thousands of extra covers have been

used to renew installations in airports, healthcare and educational facilities across the United States.

The August replaceable cover process is simple to use,

secure and reliable and applies to every seating product manufactured by August Incorporated.  The ES Series has both replaceable covers and replaceable components.

Each cover is pulled over smoothly around its outer edges, while its seat / back are held in by interior casings. Covers may be cleaned or replaced on site—a cost effective way to maintain facilities.

Renewable: Many customers get extra covers with their initial orders, so that they can promptly replace a damaged cover in heavily used facilities.  For example, the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services orders an extra set of replacement covers for their children’s seating in USCIS family waiting areas.

Sustainable: Replaceable covers enable customers to recycle their furniture, reorganizing their spaces and making the best use of their existing resources.  St. Francis Hospital created several smaller department areas, with new colors and fabric covers, from large waiting areas of Laurel Series chairs.

Flexible: Used individually or combined into new configurations, seating renewed with replaceable covers yields long term benefits of economy and usefulness.  As ivy Tech Community College has rearranged their seating, they have replaced covers on some chairs and benches, creating new lounge arrangements and locations.  Original covers which are still usable are being held for back-ups to other original chairs.
